Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Yucheon 1 District Regional Housing Association
Aiming for Resident Recruitment in July 2026 and General Pre-Sale in October
930 Apartment Units and 64 Officetel Units Planned

On the morning of September 6, the Yucheon 1 District Regional Housing Association held a groundbreaking ceremony at the new apartment construction site in Yucheon-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, marking the beginning of preparations for next year's housing pre-sale market.

Approximately 300 people attended the ceremony, including Park Yonggap, the local Member of the National Assembly, Kim Sejung, Chairman of the Yucheon 1 District Regional Housing Association, Kim Taeseon, CEO of the project management company, Sangyeon Park, Team Leader (Executive Director) at Taeyoung Construction, Suyangsik, Site Manager at Taeyoung Construction, Bae Unseon, Director of the Regional Housing Association, Kwon Hyeoncheol, Director, Kim Hyeonju, Director, and Kim Deokgeon, Senior Vice President of the Daejeon-Sejong-Chungnam Federation of the Korea Association of Small and Medium Business Innovation.

Park Yonggap, Member of the National Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea, Jung-gu, Daejeon), stated, "During my 12 years as the head of Jung-gu District Office, this site was an extremely challenging area. I believe the cooperative members must have endured a lot. I hope Taeyoung Construction, as the contractor, will build a clean and outstanding apartment without any defects, especially considering the difficulties the members have faced."

Kim Sejung, Chairman of the Yucheon 1 District Regional Housing Association, said, "We have come this far thanks to the patience and perseverance of our members over the past eight years. I hope both the general pre-sale and the sale of commercial officetels go well, and that the construction proceeds safely without any accidents."

Sangyeon Park, Head of the Construction Management Team at Taeyoung Construction, promised, "We will once again commit and strive to deliver the highest quality, the highest level of safety, and the best construction schedule, so that we can meet the expectations of the cooperative members who have endured so much."

Suyangsik, Site Manager at Taeyoung Construction, emphasized, "I joined Taeyoung Construction in 1996, making this my 30th year. During that time, I have managed 13 sites and have never experienced a failure. Now, I am taking on my 14th and final site, and as I mentioned at the general meeting in March, I do not want this project to be my first failure."

He added, "I will do my utmost to deliver a safe, high-quality apartment to the cooperative members on time."

With the first excavation taking place on this day, the cooperative aims to announce the recruitment of residents in July 2026, followed by general pre-sales in October, and plans to complete construction and move-in by the first half of 2030.

The Yucheon Taeyoung Desiang Apartment is planned to consist of a residential complex with five basement floors and up to 49 above-ground floors, totaling 930 residential units, 64 officetel units, and retail facilities.

Of the 930 residential units, 424 will be available for general pre-sale.

The Yucheon 1 District Regional Housing Association faced a crisis when Taeyoung Construction, the contractor, entered a 'workout' procedure in December 2023, causing the scheduled groundbreaking in January last year to be postponed. However, thanks to the cooperative leadership's efforts to normalize the project with a focus on swift progress, the first excavation has finally taken place.
