Support for Seniors' Health and Leisure
Apply for the "Senior Sports Voucher" Program
Up to 100,000 won for Sports Facility Use at Zero Pay-Affiliated Locations
The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will begin accepting the second round of applications for the Senior Sports Facility Usage Fee Support Program starting September 5. This initiative aims to promote the health and vibrant leisure activities of seniors aged 65 and older. Early application is recommended, as the application period may close sooner if the budget is exhausted quickly.
According to the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on September 4, the 'Senior Sports Voucher' program was established to revitalize local and everyday economies and to enhance the health of seniors in preparation for a super-aged society.
Residents aged 65 and older who receive the basic pension will be given two sports vouchers (mobile vouchers) worth 50,000 won each, totaling 100,000 won per person. These vouchers can be used at any Zero Pay-affiliated sports facility nationwide. They are valid for a wide range of facilities, from public venues such as Jangseong Indoor Swimming Pool to privately operated gyms, and can be used for sports classes or one-time admission fees.
Applications can be submitted starting September 5 through the online or mobile website and the dedicated call center. Those selected as beneficiaries will receive the vouchers via text message on their mobile phones next month. After registering the vouchers on the 'Zero Pay Map' or 'Bipple Pay App,' users can pay facility fees by scanning a QR code at participating sports centers.
