The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced in a statement that, on this day, immigration authorities and law enforcement agencies conducted a large-scale operation at the Hyundai Motor manufacturing facility in Georgia, resulting in the arrest of up to 450 undocumented immigrants.
Previously, local media reported that this plant is a joint manufacturing facility between LG Energy Solution, a battery manufacturer, and Hyundai Motor, and that U.S. immigration authorities had arrested Korean nationals during the operation there.
