View original imageThis ceremony was held to mark Social Welfare Day, a legal commemorative day established to celebrate the proclamation of the National Basic Living Security Act (September 7). It served as a meaningful occasion to promote a correct understanding of social welfare among citizens and to recognize the dedication of social welfare workers who serve in the field.
In his commemorative speech, Mayor Shin expressed, "I deeply appreciate the noble dedication of all social welfare workers who stand by our neighbors in need and extend a helping hand."
He continued, "Seongnam City will make even greater efforts to create an environment where workers can take pride in their work," and emphasized, "I hope this event will serve as an opportunity to increase citizens' interest and participation in social welfare."
The ceremony, which began with a pre-event performance, proceeded with the opening declaration, an awards ceremony honoring 26 social welfare contributors who have devoted themselves to improving the quality of life for local residents, commemorative and congratulatory speeches, the reading of a resolution by social welfare professionals, and a commemorative photo session.
