View original imageThe 10th Jindo County Governor's Cup Honam Region Amateur Table Tennis Tournament, held at the Jindo County Indoor Gymnasium, concluded successfully from August 30 to 31, 2025.
According to the county on September 4, around 600 amateur sports enthusiasts from across the Honam region participated in the tournament and competed passionately over two days. Hosted by the Jindo County Sports Council and organized by the Jindo County Table Tennis Association, the tournament was conducted in a single-elimination format.
The opening ceremony was attended by Kim Heesu, Governor of Jindo County, Cho Gyucheol, President of the Jindo County Sports Council, Park Yongsoo, President of the Jeonnam Table Tennis Association, and others, who welcomed and encouraged the participants.
This year's tournament, in particular, brought together amateur players of various ages, creating an opportunity for intergenerational communication and harmony. It is expected to generate a direct economic impact of approximately 100 million won, as participants and their families visited tourist attractions in Jindo and purchased local specialty products.
