with 23 Programs During Industrial Complex Week
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced that, in celebration of the 61st Industrial Complex Day (September 14), it will designate and operate the period from September 8 to 14 as "Industrial Complex Week."
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation will hold the "1st Korea Industrial Complex Export Fair (KICEF 2025)" and the commemorative ceremony for the "61st Industrial Complex Day" at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from September 10 to 12. This event aims to present a vision for industrial complexes, which have served as the foundation of South Korea's economic growth for over 60 years, to become future innovation hubs and global export bases.
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation explained that "Industrial Complex Week" was established to spread the achievements and vision of industrial complexes nationwide, using these two events as a starting point. The initiative is intended not only to demonstrate the commitment to transforming industrial complexes from simple manufacturing bases into advanced, AI-driven innovation spaces, but also to provide an opportunity for tenant companies and workers to empathize with and participate in the AI transition together.
This year's Industrial Complex Week will feature a total of 23 programs at 13 regional headquarters across the country, targeting tenant companies and workers who are leading the AI transformation of industrial complexes. For tenant companies, the programs include: ▲ Industrial Complex Day commemorative ceremony (vision announcement, export consultation sessions), ▲ Incheon National Industrial Complex 60th Anniversary Ceremony (CEO special lecture in conjunction with the Industrial Site Conference), ▲ Global Open Innovation (robot exhibition, startup meetups), and ▲ Regional core industry AI transition seminars.
Programs for workers include: ▲ cultural events (movie day, cultural performances, etc.), ▲ worker healing events (coffee trucks, cafe discounts), and ▲ historical photo exhibitions (Guro Industrial Complex, Namdong and Bupyeong Industrial Complexes).

The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation will also begin full-scale implementation of major AI-related projects in the second half of the year, such as the "AX Demonstration Industrial Complex Construction Project" and the "Carbon Neutral Industrial Complex Standard Model Construction Project." Next year, the corporation aims to create tangible changes in which AI is realized throughout industrial complexes, allowing tenant companies and workers to directly experience the results. Lee Sanghoon, President of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, stated, "Industrial Complex Week marks the starting point for industrial complexes to become the center of AI transformation, with workers taking part as key players in this change," adding, "Going forward, we will develop industrial complexes into hubs of future innovation and people-centered spaces."
