Finder's AI Selected as Finalist for Global Acceleration Program 'HFX'
Recognized for AI Self-Checkout Potential in Japan
Finder's AI Selected for Hokkaido F Village X Amid Severe Labor Shortages
Finder's AI, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) store automation, announced on September 4 that it has been selected for the global acceleration program 'Hokkaido F Village X (HFX)', held in Hokkaido, Japan.
Finder's AI, which began its full-scale entry into the Japanese market this year, was recognized for the potential and capabilities of its AI self-checkout system 'Vision Check-Out' (VCO). Out of 310 companies from 29 countries that applied for the program, Finder's AI was chosen as one of the 11 selected companies, overcoming a competition rate of approximately 28 to 1.
HFX is a global program aimed at solving local issues in the Hokkaido region. It is organized by Scrum Ventures and Scrum Studio, with its base at Hokkaido Ballpark F Village, located in Kitahiroshima, Hokkaido.
Hokkaido, Japan, is known as a region facing severe labor shortages due to an aging population and population decline. To address these community challenges, Finder's AI developed the image recognition-based VCO. VCO streamlines the checkout process and enhances operational efficiency, providing a solution that reduces the burden on human resources. With its selection for HFX, Finder's AI plans to pioneer new shopping experiences and accelerate efforts to solve local social issues.
