Ulju County in Ulsan Conducts Nighttime License Plate Seizure for Delinquent Vehicles: 83 Identified, 29 Million Won Collected
Ulju County in Ulsan announced on September 4 that it had conducted a joint nighttime license plate seizure operation for vehicles with unpaid fines, in cooperation with the tax department, from August 25 to September 2, resulting in the identification of a total of 83 vehicles.
This enforcement targeted nighttime hours when office workers are typically at home after work. Thirteen personnel were deployed, including two field teams with eight members and a support team of five, focusing on areas with high vehicle density such as apartment complexes and residential neighborhoods.
The vehicles subject to seizure included 60 registered in Ulju County and 23 from other regions. Of the total overdue amount of 56 million won, the county was able to collect 29 million won.

An official from Ulju County stated, "We will continue these seizure activities on a quarterly basis and promote installment payments for livelihood-related delinquencies to ensure efficient collection." The official added, "We will also crack down on illegally registered vehicles to prevent criminal misuse and threats to traffic safety."
