Sacheon City Holds '2025 Gender Equality Week Commemorative Event'

Toward a Happier Sacheon for All
Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province held a commemorative event in the main auditorium of City Hall to mark the 2025 Gender Equality Week (September 1-7), under the theme "A Gender-Equal Society Where Everyone Is Respected, A Happy Sacheon for All."
The event, which took place on September 3, was organized by the Sacheon City Women's Organizations Council and attended by approximately 400 citizens, providing a meaningful opportunity to reflect together on the values and significance of gender equality.
During the first part of the event, an official ceremony was held along with an awards presentation, recognizing 16 citizens and public officials for their contributions to promoting gender equality, advancing women's rights, and fostering community development.
In the second part, comedian and "Mom President" Cho Seunghee, CEO of the Two Moms Show performance company, led a healing talk show titled "Empathy, the Beginning of Gender Equality," delivering messages about the roles that members of society should play and the importance of empathy in achieving gender equality.
