Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and Gangwon Tourism Organization will join the Korea Pavilion, hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization, to conduct a variety of experiential programs and widely showcase the appeal of Gangwon.
At the Gangwon tourism promotional booth, visitors can enjoy hands-on activities such as making their own Gangwon tourism handkerchiefs, participating in an interactive Gangwon Foreign Tourist Taxi Quiz Show, and taking part in a survey on perceptions of Gangwon tourism. These programs are designed to allow local visitors to naturally experience Gangwon's diverse attractions, including its nature, culture, and transportation services. Various benefits, such as commemorative gifts, will be provided to participants.
In addition, this expo will focus on promoting autumn and winter tourism products. The booth will highlight Gangwon's seasonal attractions, such as autumn foliage and snowy landscapes, and propose seasonal products favored by Malaysian tourists, including winter leisure activities like skiing and snowboarding, festivals, and hot spring trips. Through these efforts, Gangwon aims to effectively communicate its appeal as a year-round tourist destination to the local market.
Alongside these activities, Gangwon Tourism Organization will actively discuss tourism product development, joint marketing, and cooperation with local travel industry professionals. Through these consultations, the organization aims to discover new travel products utilizing Gangwon's tourism resources and increase Gangwon's recognition in Malaysia and the broader Southeast Asian market.
Choi Sunghyun, CEO of Gangwon Tourism Organization, stated, "Malaysia is an important market where demand for travel to Korea continues to grow. Through this expo, we will offer consumers the opportunity to directly experience Gangwon's attractions and create tangible results through industry consultations and practical exchanges."
