Showcasing a Diverse Array of World Cultures
Lee Jihee, Director of the Wonju City Family Center in Gangwon Province, announced on September 4 that the "3rd Wonju City World Culture Festival: WOW FESTIVAL" will be held on September 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This event, themed "WOW (World culture Of Wonju)," is a festival where visitors can fully experience a variety of cultures through performances from around the world, as well as try on traditional costumes, participate in traditional games, and sample foods from different countries.
One of the highlights is the percussion group Anyapo's performance, "Africa of the Sun," which offers an interactive experience where performers and the audience freely exchange energy through the traditional rhythms and dynamic movements of West Africa.
In addition, there will be various activities such as photo zones, a "Travel Four-Cut" photo booth, hands-on experience booths, a cultural marketplace featuring a wide array of global products, and a mission stamp tour. Attendees who participate in the opening ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on the day of the festival will also receive a voucher for a Russian potato cake.
