Funded and Contributed Organizations Should Also Be Included
Youngsook Park, a member of the Daegu Suseong District Council, announced that the 'Partial Amendment to the Daegu Suseong District Ordinance on the Promotion of Priority Purchase of Products Manufactured by Severely Disabled Persons,' which she proposed, passed the standing committee during the 271st extraordinary session held on August 29.
This amendment was pursued to promote the priority purchase of products made by severely disabled persons, based on the 'Special Act on the Promotion of Priority Purchase of Products Manufactured by Severely Disabled Persons,' and to strengthen the effectiveness of related policies.
The main changes include the addition of funded and contributed organizations to the list of priority purchasing institutions, raising the mandatory purchase ratio of products made by severely disabled persons at each public institution to at least 1.1% of total purchases, setting 2% or more as the target ratio, and establishing the basis for evaluation and rewards for the relevant institutions.
