On September 3, Admiral Kang Donggil, Chief of Naval Operations, stated, "We will establish a robust state of readiness based on education and training that align with the evolving battlefield environment, as well as on a sound national perspective and mental fortitude internalized through constitutional values. Through this, we will continue the proud tradition of an invincible Navy that wins in every domain of warfare, including maritime, space, cyber, and electromagnetic operations."

At the inauguration ceremony for the 38th Chief of Naval Operations, held at the Gyeryongdae parade ground and presided over by Minister of National Defense Ahn Gyu-baek, Admiral Kang said in his inaugural address, "The public expects our military to become a trustworthy force and a cutting-edge, advanced military that leads the future.
