Masan Fire Station Presents 'Golden Time 119' Award to Citizen Who Extinguished Fire in Its Early Stages
The Masan Fire Station in Changwon Special City, South Gyeongsang Province, presented the 'Golden Time 119' Award to a citizen who actively responded in the early stages of a fire, preventing it from spreading further.
The citizen who received the award is Kim Myunggil, a security guard working at the management office of the Supsok Jugong 6th Apartment Complex in Naeseo-eup, Masanhoewon-gu.
At around 11:30 p.m. on June 25, a fire broke out in a vehicle parked in the ground parking lot of the Supsok Jugong 6th Apartment Complex in Naeseo-eup, Masanhoewon-gu.
While patrolling the apartment complex, Mr. Kim witnessed the fire and actively responded by using a fire extinguisher, successfully putting out the fire before the fire department arrived.
Mr. Kim stated, "Anyone would have acted as I did in a fire situation," adding, "I was simply doing what was right, so I am grateful to receive such an award."
