Osan to Host "Social Economy Festival" on the 20th to Boost Local Economic Vitality
Over 20 Social Economy Enterprises to Participate
Food, Sales, and Experience Zones to Be Operated
On September 3, the city of Osan in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will host the "2025 Social Economy Festival" on September 20 along the Osancheon Stream, near the Osan Osaek Cultural and Sports Center, to invigorate the local economy and promote a culture of mutual growth.
Under the theme "A Social Economy That Grows Together, Communicates, and Shares Profits," the event will feature commendations for individuals who have contributed to the revitalization of the social economy, as well as a performance pledging the sustainable growth of social economy enterprises.
More than 20 local social economy organizations are expected to participate, offering a variety of programs.
At the venue, there will be a Food Zone, Promotion Zone, Sales Zone, and Experience Zone, allowing citizens to experience and purchase a wide range of products and services firsthand. In particular, various foods, daily necessities, and experiential programs prepared by social economy enterprises will provide opportunities for value-driven consumption and a virtuous cycle in the local economy.
The festival will also feature performances by local arts groups such as the Haneulsori Culture and Arts Troupe and the Osan Children’s Choir, as well as citizen participation events.
