"Authentic Restaurants Verified by Data" Now Available as E-Mart Meal Kits

On September 3, E-Mart announced that it had analyzed Hyundai Card's payment data to discover restaurants that customers actually frequent, and developed their menus into its own private brand (PB) Peacock products.
The company plans to enhance its competitiveness in the growing restaurant meal replacement (RMR) market by developing differentiated products through a sophisticated, customer-centric approach.
Starting on September 4, E-Mart will introduce five products in collaboration with three popular restaurants. The lineup includes Yuni Jjajangmyeon and Yurimgi from Hongbok at Namdaemun Market, Black Ramen and Chicken Skin Gyoza from Lamura in Seongsu-dong, and Tare Sauce from Yakitori Pano in Cheongdam. These products will be available at E-Mart stores nationwide and on SSG.com E-Mart Mall.
To celebrate the launch, from September 4 to 17, customers can receive a 30% discount when earning Shinsegae Points on the five products, along with an additional 20% discount when paying with a Hyundai Card.
E-Mart prepared this project for a year and a half. After defining a specific customer group, the company analyzed usage patterns using Hyundai Card payment data from 2023 to 2024 and selected candidate restaurants. To faithfully recreate the authentic flavors of the final selected restaurants' menus, Peacock buyers, chefs from the Secret Lab, and the restaurant owners collaborated to research recipes and develop the products.

E-Mart and Hyundai Card plan to develop additional menu items after monitoring product sales data and customer feedback. Nam Hyunwoo, Team Leader of E-Mart Peacock, said, "We partnered with Hyundai Card to find hidden, truly popular restaurants that customers actually visit. We will elevate the gourmet experience for our customers by offering a variety of unique dining-out menus as high-quality home meal replacement (HMR) products that cannot be found elsewhere."
