"The District Mayor Goes to the Neighborhood"... Seongbuk District to Operate "On-Site District Office" in 20 Neighborhoods
Seongbuk District in Seoul (District Mayor Lee Seungro) announced on September 2 that it will operate the "2025 Second Half Daily On-Site District Office" in 20 neighborhoods from September 16 to November 11.
Seongbuk District will continue to hold a daily on-site district office in each of the 20 neighborhoods in the second half of 2025, actively communicating with residents. Provided by Seongbuk District.
View original imageThe on-site district office is a flagship communication initiative reflecting District Mayor Lee Seungro's philosophy of governance: "Residents are at the heart of daily life, and the answers are found where residents are." In this model, the district mayor personally visits each neighborhood to listen to residents' opinions and seek solutions. It has served as Seongbuk District's representative on-site communication model since 2018.
Now in its ninth year, the on-site district office will feature the district mayor sharing previously submitted resident proposals and their resolutions directly with the community in a presentation (PPT) format. Additionally, the program will include a creative, resident-friendly stage where residents join the mayor to present and discuss proposals, as well as live broadcasts with on-site reporters to convey the atmosphere in real time.
During the operation period, a variety of administrative services will be provided simultaneously in each neighborhood, including metabolic syndrome screenings by the public health center, consultations with village administrative advisors, and counseling on architecture, sanitation, and land issues. This allows residents to conveniently access these services in their own neighborhoods without visiting the district office. There will also be resident participation programs that combine fun and learning, such as the "1:300 Policy Promotion Quiz with the District Mayor."
Lee Seungro, Mayor of Seongbuk District, stated, "Listening to the diverse opinions of residents and reflecting them in policy is the most important thing. Through the 'Daily On-Site District Office,' we will continue to communicate more closely with residents and create real change."
