National Hanbat University Sweeps Saemangeum Public Data Utilization Competition
National Hanbat University announced on September 2 that students from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering participated in the "2025 Saemangeum Public Data Utilization Competition," hosted by the Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency, and won the Grand Prize and the Excellence Award.

View original imageThe competition was held in two categories: idea planning and data analysis/production, aimed at creating a "business-friendly Saemangeum."
Students, companies, and aspiring entrepreneurs participated in the competition, which consisted of a first preliminary round (written evaluation) followed by a second final round (presentation evaluation).
At the competition, the "Muldeulim" team, composed of students from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National Hanbat University, presented an "AI-Based Seawater Circulation Strategy Establishment System" using data on water quality changes in Saemangeum Lake, and won the Grand Prize in the idea planning category.
Additionally, the "Susanghan Moim" team from the same department proposed a "Saemangeum-Type Integrated Management Platform for Rainwater Reuse Facilities" and received the Excellence Award in the idea planning category.
