"Turning Failure into the Foundation for New Challenges"... Venture Association to Hold Failure Exhibition
Spreading a Healthy Culture of Challenge
The Startup Committee under the Korea Venture Business Association and YCN announced on September 2 that they will hold the 'Fail Fair (Failure Exhibition)' at the Yongsan Prototype Production Center in Seoul on September 5. This event aims to share entrepreneurs' experiences of failure and promote a culture of second chances.
The event carries the message that setbacks during the startup journey should be seen as a foundation for new challenges. The program includes lectures by senior entrepreneurs, presentations of failure cases, exhibitions of failure-themed photos and slogans, healing experiences, a 'Death Valley' photo zone, and networking sessions.
In the senior entrepreneurs' lecture, Yang Juncheol, CEO of OnOffMix, will share his "overcoming failure" story, providing practical insights to aspiring entrepreneurs. The event will feature a creative twist, with YCN organizers dressed as Grim Reaper characters inspired by the recently popular "K-Pop Demon Hunters" concept, to present stories of failure in a lively and imaginative way.
Lee Yonggyun, Chair of the Startup Committee, said, "Unlike conventional startup events that focus on success, we wanted to show that failure is also an important asset. We hope this event will foster a healthy culture of challenge, where entrepreneurs encourage each other through honest exchanges."
