On September 2, Daishin Securities predicted that KH Vatec's profit would increase in the third quarter of this year, driven by strong sales of Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z Fold 7.
KH Vatec is estimated to achieve sales of 160.5 billion won and an operating profit of 13 billion won in the third quarter of this year. These figures represent increases of 73.9% and 87.9%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Park Kangho, a researcher at Daishin Securities, explained, "We expect a surprise performance, with sales exceeding previous estimates by 43.3% and operating profit by 50.9%."
He added, "KH Vatec is expected to benefit from both expectations of Apple's entry into the foldable phone market and strong sales of Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z Fold 7."

He analyzed, "This year, there is increasing replacement demand for foldable smartphones. We anticipate that Apple will launch a foldable smartphone in the fourth quarter of next year, so attention should be paid to the expanding foldable phone market." He also emphasized, "The key to making foldable phones slimmer and successful is the hinge," and predicted an increase in average selling price (ASP).
