Jungnang District Women's Football Team Wins Presidential Cup National Football Festival
The Jungnang District Women's Football Team, under the leadership of Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi, claimed victory at the 14th Presidential Cup National Football Festival.
This tournament, the largest festival for amateur football clubs across the country organized by the Korea Football Association, was held in Inje County, Gangwon Province, from August 30 to 31. Nine women's football teams representing 17 cities and provinces from all over the country participated and competed fiercely.

View original imageRepresenting Seoul, the Jungnang District Women's Football Team advanced to the finals as the top team in Group A with two wins in the group stage. In the semifinals, they defeated the Hwaseong City Women's Football Team from Gyeonggi Province 1-0. In the final, after a 0-0 draw with the Songpa District Women's Football Team, they secured the championship through a penalty shootout.
The Jungnang District Women's Football Team holds regular training sessions every Wednesday and Sunday at the Jungnang District Grass Stadium. Currently, the team is also ranked first in their groups in both the 2025 Seoul Citizens League (S-League) and the Seongdong-gu ESG Women's Football League.
