EY Hanyoung Appoints Former HSBC Korea CEO Eunyoung Jung
Appointed as Vice Chairman of the Management Advisory Committee
On September 1, EY Hanyoung announced that it has appointed Eunyoung Jung, former CEO of HSBC Korea, as Vice Chairman of its Management Advisory Committee.
Vice Chairman Jung began her financial career at Korea Development Bank in 1989 and built her international finance experience at the Zurich and Hong Kong branches, BankBoston in the United States, and the Asia headquarters of Commonwealth Bank of Australia. After joining HSBC Korea in 2005, she served as Executive Director of Corporate Banking, Head of Financial Institutions, and Head of Corporate Banking. In 2017, she became the first Korean to be appointed CEO of HSBC Korea and served as CEO for eight years. She is credited with more than doubling HSBC Korea's business performance during her tenure, thanks to consistent and stable growth each year.
Based on her experience serving as a bridge to support Korean companies and financial institutions in expanding globally through HSBC’s global platform, Vice Chairman Jung will support sustainable growth and expanded cooperation for companies and financial institutions at EY Hanyoung.
