Gwangju Bukgu Recruiting Nine New Tenants for Youth Startup Spaces
Gwangju Bukgu announced on August 31 that it will be recruiting young entrepreneurs to move into its youth startup spaces until September 16.
The youth startup spaces operated by Bukgu are located in four commercial units within public rental housing complexes (Gakhwa, Ochi 1, Duam 2, and Duam 4), and can accommodate a total of 24 companies. In this round of recruitment, nine new tenants will be selected.
Eligible applicants are aspiring entrepreneurs or early-stage founders within three years of starting their business, aged 19 to 35 as of the announcement date. Those selected as final tenants will be able to use the space rent-free for up to four years, with only some operating costs such as utilities and maintenance fees required.
Tenants will be finalized in October after a document review and interview process. Beyond simply providing space, Bukgu will support resident youth by connecting them to startup education programs run by specialized institutions, as well as expert consulting and mentoring to help them build entrepreneurial capabilities.
