Gijang County in Busan Receives Enthusiastic Response to Mobile County News "Gijang People"
"County News in Your Hand"
Quick and Convenient Delivery of County Updates
The Gijang County Office (County Governor Jeong Jongbok) has launched the mobile version of "Gijang People" ("Mobile County News") for the first time this year, and it has been receiving an enthusiastic response from local residents by delivering county news quickly and conveniently.
The Mobile County News is a newsletter that provides "Gijang People," previously published as a paper newspaper, in an electronic format. Its goal is to be "the county news in your hand, accessible anytime and anywhere."
Any resident can easily receive it at the beginning of each month by searching for "Busan Metropolitan City Gijang County Office" on KakaoTalk and adding the channel. With a design optimized for smartphone screens, it clearly presents key county news and practical information for daily life, including: ▲ county administration updates ▲ library news ▲ health center news ▲ announcements ▲ council news.
Since its first issue in January this year, a total of 82,410 copies have been distributed as of August, with approximately 10,000 copies released each month. To further activate the Mobile County News, Gijang County plans to strengthen its content on county news and actively expand its subscriber base through event promotions.
Jeong Jongbok, Governor of Gijang County, stated, "'Gijang People' is one of the most important channels for communicating with county residents," adding, "We will quickly share county news using various media and actively support residents' participation in county administration."
