BYD Korea Opens First Caf?-Style Showroom in Mapo
Aiming for 30 Showrooms by Year-End
BYD Korea announced on the 29th that it has opened its Mapo showroom, aiming to expand consumer touchpoints.
The Mapo showroom, BYD’s first caf?-style showroom in Korea, spans two floors and covers 350 square meters (approximately 106 pyeong), accommodating up to three vehicles. The vehicle display area and customer lounge are organically arranged to create a more flexible and relaxed atmosphere compared to typical showrooms. The first floor connects the display area with a caf? zone, allowing for a free and interactive experience, while the second floor is dedicated to consultations and brand experience.
The Mapo showroom will serve as a testbed for expanding urban hubs, and BYD plans to use it as the standard model for its urban lifestyle showroom strategy, which will be introduced in major cities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Cho Incheol, Head of Passenger Vehicles at BYD Korea, stated, "The concept is to create a space where customers can naturally experience the brand’s philosophy and the value of future mobility, going beyond a traditional showroom," adding, "It will become a new hub that conveys our eco-friendly philosophy and youthful, innovative image."
