Direct Interaction with Active VCs
Enhancing Practical Investment Competencies
Recruitment for the First Cohort Open Until September 19
The Venture Business Association announced on August 29 that it is recruiting participants for the first cohort of the "Venture & Startup LP Academy."
This training program has been organized to broaden the base of private venture investment. Its goal is to systematically nurture private limited partners (LPs) and angel investors with expertise, thereby revitalizing the contracted venture investment market and expanding a healthy investment ecosystem. The curriculum focuses on essential competencies required for investment decisions, including: ▲Understanding the structure of venture investment ▲Legal, institutional, and tax benefits ▲Investment practices and case analysis ▲Special lectures by experienced LPs.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with the entire investment process through practical exercises such as drafting capital commitment proposals and participating in mock investment review committees. Current venture capital (VC) investment professionals will join the training sessions each week to provide real-time feedback on investment attraction standards and procedures, as well as to facilitate meaningful networking opportunities.
Graduates will join the "LP Club" alumni community, where they can participate in regular joint investment presentations (IR) and networking events. This is intended to create a sustainable private investor network that goes beyond one-off training sessions.
The program will be held once a week for a total of nine weeks at Maru180 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Early bird applications are open until September 5, and general applications can be submitted from September 8 to 19 through the Venture Business Association website.
