More than 1,100 participants from approximately 120 countries are expected to attend the event. In particular, thorough safety management is deemed necessary, as large crowds are anticipated around Culture Complex Station and the nearby 5·18 Democracy Square, where the finals will take place.
Accordingly, the corporation has established five major tasks focused on city subway operations: ensuring on-time train service, minimizing human errors among railway staff, and conducting public awareness campaigns to prevent safety accidents, among others. Systematic pre-event inspections will be carried out under these initiatives.
In particular, the corporation plans to conduct intensive anti-terrorism activities at crowded venues in cooperation with related organizations, as well as carry out detailed inspections of key facilities, including vulnerable areas within stations. These comprehensive efforts are aimed at ensuring the safety of both citizens and athletes.
