"Disaster Recovery Focus" Sancheong County Draws Up Second Supplementary Budget of 746.6 Billion Won, Up 61.1 Billion Won
Focus on Disaster Recovery and Restoration of Daily Life
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on August 28 that it has drawn up the second supplementary budget proposal for 2025, totaling 746.6 billion won, and submitted it to the Sancheong County Council.
This supplementary budget, which is 61.1 billion won higher than the first supplementary budget, focuses on recovery efforts following the major wildfire in March and the severe torrential rain damage in July.
In particular, projects that cannot be executed within the year or non-essential expenditures have been boldly reduced through expenditure restructuring, with a concentrated allocation of funds toward disaster recovery projects.
To this end, 25 billion won has been allocated for wildfire and torrential rain recovery to provide tangible support for restoring daily life for county residents.
The submitted supplementary budget is scheduled to be presented at the 307th session of the Sancheong County Council, which will be held from September 1 to September 8, and will be finalized following review and approval.
