Discussion on Countermeasures for the Five Major Types of Serious Accidents and Heat Wave Prevention
Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) held a "Safety Measures Report Meeting for the Prevention of Industrial (Serious) Accidents" at the headquarters auditorium on the 27th, discussing practical countermeasures to eradicate industrial accidents.
The meeting was attended by over 300 people, including the president, the labor director, and executives and employees. The agenda included sharing trends and current issues related to serious accidents, reporting on special safety measures by sector, and participating in special safety and health training organized by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
Recently, as fatal industrial accidents have continued to occur nationwide, the need for systematic safety management has grown. In connection with the "Safe Workplace Project" promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the corporation reviewed and reinforced safety awareness by inspecting countermeasures to prevent the five major types of serious accidents-falls, entrapment, collisions, fires and explosions, and suffocation-as well as measures to prevent accidents caused by heat waves.
Busan Transportation Corporation is also strengthening on-site, customized safety activities. In addition to regular inspections, the corporation plans to identify risk factors in advance and eliminate the possibility of safety accidents through special safety inspections of track work, special safety inspections of aerial work platforms, and joint on-site inspections by labor and management in response to heat waves.
