Each item was addressed through in-depth questions and answers.
Of particular interest was the agenda item on the first round of livelihood recovery consumption coupon distribution, a project aimed at stimulating local consumption and increasing sales for small business owners and self-employed individuals. The council emphasized the need to thoroughly prepare for the second round of distribution by addressing shortcomings identified during the first round, so that the initiative can serve as a catalyst for revitalizing the local economy.
In addition, the senior citizen transportation subsidy project, which was selected as part of a Gyeonggi Province public contest, was also a key agenda item. The project provides up to 360,000 won per year in transportation subsidies to Yangpyeong County residents aged 70 or older-90,000 won per quarter (or 60,000 won per quarter for those with a driver's license). The council urged the executive branch to make active efforts to ensure the smooth implementation of this project.
Vice Chairwoman Oh Hyeja emphasized, "Close communication between the council and the executive branch is more important than anything else to ensure the successful implementation of policies that directly affect the lives of our residents. We will continue to resolve pending issues through cooperation and dialogue."
