View original imageOn July 20, heavy rainfall of 94mm per hour struck Pocheon City, resulting in 50 people being displaced and property damage amounting to 38.5 billion won. As a result, on August 6, the government declared the entire city of Pocheon a special disaster zone.
An association representative stated, "We extend our deepest condolences to the citizens of Pocheon who suffered from the sudden heavy rain," adding, "We hope for a swift return to normal life. Previously, on July 31, the association also took the lead in flood recovery efforts by donating 10 million won to Gapyeong County, which had also been declared a special disaster zone due to heavy rain damage.
