This year's first shipment started on August 15 and is being supplied to consumers nationwide through major wholesale markets in cities such as Gwangju, Daejeon, and Daegu, as well as online distribution channels. The initial shipment volume is 30 tons, and with the main harvest season approaching, it is expected that over 5,600 tons will be shipped in total.
Nakan Pears are cultivated in a natural environment with abundant sunlight and fertile soil, and thanks to the meticulous cultivation management of local farmers, they are produced as high-quality pears with high sugar content and rich juice. In particular, this year's Nakan Pears are receiving strong positive feedback from consumers for their juiciness and crisp texture.
Since 2002, Nakan Pears have been exported to regions such as Indonesia and Taiwan, with a total export volume of 195 tons. Their superior quality is recognized through rigorous joint management from selection to shipment, as well as the implementation of a consumer recall system.
