Kim Gunmo Returns to Music After 6 Years... Concert Tour Begins in September
Singer Kim Gunmo will return to the stage for the first time in six years.
Concert production company Istar Media Company announced on August 26 that Kim Gunmo will hold a nationwide tour concert titled "Kim Gunmo." (KIM GUN MO.), starting in Busan on September 27, followed by Daegu on October 18, Daejeon on December 20, and concluding in Seoul in January next year.
This marks Kim Gunmo's comeback six years after he suspended his activities following allegations of sexual assault in 2019. He was belatedly accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 30s, referred to as Ms. A, who worked at an entertainment bar in Gangnam, Seoul, in 2016. In 2021, prosecutors cleared him of all charges. However, the social repercussions were significant, and he subsequently halted all activities, including television appearances and performances.
The concert production company relayed a statement from a close associate, saying, "Although he was away from the stage, he never let go of music, not even for a moment." The company added, "There is growing interest in whether he will share his thoughts in person after a long period of silence during this performance."
