International Conference to Address Emerging Threats in the Digital Era
The National Police Agency announced on the 26th that it will host the '2025 International Conference on Cybercrime Response.'
On this day, President Lee Jaemyung delivered a video address welcoming cybercrime experts from around the world and emphasized the importance of protecting citizens' daily lives from cybercrime amid the innovations brought by advanced technologies in the era of digital transformation.
The International Conference on Cybercrime Response is an annual international event organized by the National Police Agency. Cyber experts from various sectors-including domestic and international law enforcement agencies, global information technology companies, public institutions, academia, and private organizations-gather in one place to share experiences and knowledge in order to build a safer cyberspace.
This year’s conference has selected six topics, including 'New Threats in the Era of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)' and 'The Expansion of Virtual Assets and Cyber Financial Crimes.' In-depth discussions will be held on effective responses to the rapidly increasing cyber threats driven by advancements in information and communication technology, as well as on international joint response strategies for the swift resolution of cybercrimes.

Park Sungjoo, Commissioner General of the National Investigation Headquarters, emphasized the need to secure a safe cyberspace through solidarity based on trust. He stated that the agency will strengthen future security technologies and investigative capabilities, such as AI, and that government ministries, companies, and civil society both domestically and internationally will collaborate to build a seamless cyber community.
