Anseong City to Hold 'Anseong Jangmadang Festival' in Traditional Market Area on August 30
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the 'Anseong Jangmadang Festival' in the traditional market area on August 30.
This event is the final installment of the city's seven-week nighttime economy revitalization project, 'How About a Night Out in Anseong Tonight?', which has been ongoing since the second week of last month.
The festival will take place on the road stretching from Seoin Intersection to Inji Intersection, surrounding Anseong Jungang Market and Anseong Matcum Market. As a result, both directions of this road segment will be closed to traffic on the day of the festival.
The festival will feature four themed zones: the Harmony Zone, the Play Zone, the Food Zone, and the Promotion Zone. During the day, the focus will be on family and children's playgrounds, while in the evening, the theme will shift to an adult playground filled with nostalgia and romance.
At the Harmony Zone, where the main stage is located, there will be performances by a fusion jazz band, local citizen clubs, and a retro DJ party. The Play Zone will offer activities such as Alley Graffiti, 'I Am the Errand King,' a Nostalgic Sports Day, and a Market Treasure Stamp Tour.
