View original imageThe Korean Red Cross (Chairman Cheolsu Kim) announced on August 25 that Kangwoon Lee, Vice President of Korea Railroad Industry, delivered a donation of 100 million won to support victims of extreme heavy rain.
Kangwoon Lee's donation will be used as living expenses and consolation money to help victims in Gyeonggi, Chungnam, Gwangju-Jeonnam, and Gyeongnam, who were affected by the extreme heavy rain in July and August, recover their daily lives.
Vice President Kangwoon Lee stated, "Korea Railroad Industry allocates 10% of its annual net profit to support marginalized groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, and children," and added, "We will continue to focus on caring for those around us and leading a culture of sharing." Cheolsu Kim, Chairman of the Korean Red Cross, said, "We will use this valuable donation to support disaster victims who are in need of help."
In 2023, Vice President Kangwoon Lee donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross and became the 236th member of the 'Red Cross Honors Club,' a high-value donor group. In 2025, he was also appointed as a member of the World Vision high-value donor group 'Bob Pierce Honor Club.'
