During the approximately two-month period in the first half of this year, a total of 13 policies were reviewed, resulting in a variety of improvement measures directly related to residents' daily lives.
Notably, starting this month, the district has launched a pilot program to install fine dust reduction filters on five official large buses to improve air quality and protect residents' health. In addition, the district is working to lower the entry barrier for volunteer participation by easing the certification hour requirements for outstanding volunteers.
Other improvement measures have been identified in areas such as employment support for vulnerable groups, health promotion strategies, and enhancing resident-friendly information provision and communication. Projects that prove effective through pilot programs will be expanded district-wide, and those that pass internal review will be implemented sequentially starting in the second half of the year.
The "Weekly Issues & Diagnosis" features a cyclical system that reviews departmental projects and evaluates their achievements and limitations. By incorporating on-site data and analyzing residents' needs, the district has established a structure that links these insights to policy improvements, earning recognition as a "policy laboratory that residents can feel."
