He said, "The first half of the year was a time to lay the foundation for achieving results in the second half," and added, "We must face our performance objectively and make a leap forward based on our unrivaled competitiveness." He called for a quantum leap for the company by transforming into a global tech-driven logistics company.
The aim is to transfer the cutting-edge technologies accumulated at the TES Logistics Technology Research Center in Korea to global markets, thereby maximizing customers' logistics productivity and securing new growth engines.
He also stressed the importance of securing future technologies such as logistics automation and artificial intelligence (AI). CEO Shin said, "We must further increase automation rates by implementing real-time decision-making and autonomous operations based on CJ Logistics' unique operational data and AI," and added, "We must also quickly develop our robotics capabilities to lead the future market."
He then presented future directions for each business division. For the "One (Parcel Delivery)" division, he emphasized the expansion of TES-based optimization and automation technologies, as well as the diversification of the delivery portfolio. For the Contract Logistics (CL) division, the focus was on improving logistics efficiency for clients by advancing productivity control models, aiming to convert potential customers-1PL (in-house logistics) companies-to 3PL (third-party logistics) services.
For the global business, the company plans to actively introduce innovative technologies proven in Korea, strengthen contract logistics operations in strategic countries such as the United States and India, and focus on expanding cross-border logistics, including reverse direct purchases and Global Distribution Centers (GDC).
CEO Shin promised thorough rewards for performance. He stated, "We will motivate employees through immediate rewards for achievements and create an environment where everyone can grow by taking on new challenges." CJ Logistics expanded its traditional year-end award system and presented the "Value-Up Award" to four teams and two individuals who delivered meaningful results aligned with business strategies.
Meanwhile, at the event, Jonathan Song, the newly appointed head of the global division, also shared his ambitions. He outlined strategic directions for global business expansion, saying, "To become a global 3PL company, we will actively expand our overseas network, strengthen sales capabilities, and implement efficiency strategies."
