Enjoy Autumn Nights and Court Music at Once
Ticket Reservations Open at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th
The Gyeongbokgung Palace Management Office announced on August 25 that it will offer nighttime tours of Gyeongbokgung Palace, allowing visitors to enjoy the palace's autumn nightscape from September 3 to 28.
This program has been held annually in both the first and second halves of the year since 2008. From 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., visitors can access Gwanghwamun, Heungnyemun, Geunjeongjeon, Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, Sajongjeon, Gangnyeongjeon, Gyotaejeon, and the Amisan Area.
A variety of cultural experiences, including traditional court music, will also be available. On September 11, a special performance by the Gwanhyeonmaengin Traditional Arts Troupe will be held at Gangnyeongjeon. From September 17 to 20, performers from the National Gugak Center will present court music at Sujeongjeon. Every Friday to Sunday at 7:00 p.m., a 50-minute reenactment will take place, featuring actors dressed in traditional attire as the king, queen, crown prince, and crown princess of the Joseon Dynasty strolling through the palace.
Tickets will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis from 10:00 a.m. on August 27 via Interpark Ticket, with 3,000 tickets sold per day. Each person may purchase up to four tickets. Foreign visitors can buy up to two tickets per person (with a daily limit of 300 tickets) at the Gwanghwamun ticket booth on the day of the tour by presenting a passport or other identification.
