Damyang County to Host 'Gender Equality Acrostic Poem' Event
Three-Week Event Runs Until September 12
Damyang County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Jung Chulwon), announced on August 22 that it will host the 'Gender Equality Acrostic Poem Event' to mark Gender Equality Week 2025 (September 1-7). The event aims to raise awareness of gender equality and break down stereotypes.
This event, themed 'Practicing Gender Equality in Everyday Life,' will run for three weeks until September 12. Anyone interested in gender equality can participate by posting a comment on the county’s official blog or Instagram account. Selected outstanding entries will receive commemorative gifts.
Governor Jung Chulwon stated, "This event was planned to promote the realization of gender equality and the spread of a gender-equal culture," adding, "I hope to see many fun and creative ideas."
