Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency Discusses Cooperation Measures for Preventing Industrial Accidents in Public Buildings on the 21st
On August 21, the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency held a regular meeting of the 'Pangyo Public Building Industrial Safety and Health Council' at the Pangyo Global R&D Center to discuss cooperation measures for preventing industrial accidents.
This meeting was organized to enhance the level of safety management in public buildings and to promote a culture of industrial accident prevention. In particular, it was prepared as a proactive response to recent cases of inadequate safety management, such as fatal accidents at construction sites.
The Industrial Safety and Health Council includes not only the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, but also key public building management entities in Pangyo such as the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, Startup Campus, and the Global R&D Center, as well as managers of convenience facilities and common areas, and elevator management companies.

View original imageDuring the meeting, the Safety Management Office of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency conducted practical training sessions on topics such as understanding Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), preventing asphyxiation accidents in confined spaces, and methods for preventing recurrence of accidents and conducting accident investigations.
Following the council meeting, the agency also carried out an on-site safety inspection.
Based on the activities of this council, the agency plans to further minimize industrial safety blind spots in Pangyo public buildings and to advance the management system to better ensure the safety of both users and workers in public buildings.
Additionally, by conducting on-site inspections alongside training, the agency aims to enhance the effectiveness of accident prevention and to identify outstanding safety management practices for dissemination throughout the province.
