Fire in Gwangju Officetel Injures Four, Including Resident
Woman in Her 20s Suffers Burns,
Three Residents Hospitalized for Smoke Inhalation
A fire broke out in an officetel in Buk-gu, Gwangju, injuring four residents.
According to the Gwangju Fire Department on August 22, the fire occurred at around 10:48 p.m. the previous day on the fifth floor of a six-story officetel in Oryong-dong, Buk-gu. The fire was extinguished by responding firefighters within 22 minutes.
As a result of the fire, a woman in her 20s, identified as resident A, suffered burns, and three neighboring residents were taken to the hospital after inhaling smoke. All are reported to be in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.

The fire authorities are investigating the extent of the damage and the exact cause of the fire.
