View original imageSuncheon National University (President Lee Byungwoon) announced on August 21 that it held the '2025 Jeonnam RISE Project Leaders Meeting' with 17 universities from the Jeonnam region on August 20 in the large conference room of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Building on campus, where they discussed ways to establish a cooperative system for balanced regional development and joint solutions to common issues.
The meeting was attended by project leaders from universities participating in the Jeonnam RISE project, including those from the eastern region of Jeonnam (Suncheon National University, Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus, Cheongam College, Suncheon Jeil College, Gwangyang Health College, Hanyeong College), the western region (Mokpo National University, Mokpo Catholic University, Mokpo Maritime University, Sehan University, Mokpo Science University, Chodang University, Dong-A Health College), and the central region (Dongshin University, Jeonnam Provincial College, Jeonnam Science College, Korea Energy Engineering University).
The participants shared updates on the progress and performance indicators of each university, joint proposals for the Jeonnam RISE Center, and matters related to project budget guidelines. They also discussed the direction and models for collaborative projects that all universities in the Jeonnam region could pursue together.
During the meeting, they reviewed the achievements of each university, reached a consensus on the need for collaborative models to promote balanced development among the regions, and exchanged opinions on establishing a system for sustainable and regionally innovative joint projects.
