Boseong County to Provide Follow-up Support for Outstanding Youth Startups
Six Businesses to Be Selected
Up to 10 Million KRW in Growth Support Funds
Boseong County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Cheolwoo) announced on August 21 that it will be recruiting candidates for the '2025 Youth Startup Follow-up Support Program' until August 25. The initiative aims to strengthen the self-sufficiency of young entrepreneurs who, in the early stages of their startups, face various challenges such as management, funding, and sales channels.
This program targets entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 49 who are currently operating their businesses and have participated in the 'Boseong County Youth Startup Support Program' within the past three years.
After the application process and a review, a total of six businesses will be selected. Each selected entrepreneur will receive up to 10 million KRW in growth support funds.
Previously, in July, the county conducted a survey of individuals who had received startup support within the past three years. The results revealed that young entrepreneurs are facing a combination of challenges, including not only a lack of funding but also insufficient experience, limited expertise, and inadequate marketing capabilities.
In response, the county will operate a customized capacity-building program designed to help the continuous growth of startup items, going beyond simple financial support.
