Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters Supports Talent Development and Community Growth
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters (headed by Lee Sangwook) has awarded scholarships to 263 students living near the power plant.
Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters selected a total of 263 students (210 university students, 39 high school students, and 14 students with athletic talent) as "2025 Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters Scholarship Recipients" to support stable learning environments for students in the vicinity of the plant and to foster outstanding talent. On August 20, a "2025 Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony" was held at the first-floor multipurpose performance hall of the Kori Sports and Culture Center.
More than 200 people attended the ceremony, including Lee Sangwook, head of Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, Park Hongbok, chairman of the Gijang County Council, scholarship recipients, and their families. Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to provide a total of 350 million won in scholarships to these students.
During his congratulatory remarks at the ceremony, Lee Sangwook, head of Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "I sincerely congratulate all the scholarship recipients who have been selected through fierce competition. Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters will actively support local students so that they can grow into talented individuals."
