Korea Post Issues Commemorative Stamps Featuring Nighttime Scenes of Seoul's Four Major Palaces
Commemorative stamps featuring the nighttime scenery of Seoul's four major palaces will be issued.
On August 21, Korea Post Headquarters announced that it will release the "National Heritage Palace Night Tour" commemorative stamps.
The commemorative stamps depict the nighttime views of Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, and Changgyeonggung Palaces. The scenes show tranquil palace walks under the soft glow of traditional Cheongsachorong lanterns.
Gyeongbokgung Palace, which served as the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty, is the historical centerpiece featured on the stamp. Today, it is regarded as one of Seoul's top destinations for experiencing the city's history and culture.
At Changdeokgung Palace, visitors can enjoy beautiful natural landscapes and a serene atmosphere. Deoksugung Palace stands out with its contrast between modern buildings and historic structures, while Changgyeonggung Palace is known for its traditional gardens and its combination of history and tranquil surroundings.
