Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 21st that it has donated a large washing machine and dryer to "Eunpyeong Village," a care facility for the homeless in Eunpyeong-gu.

View original imageIn September 2023, Shinhan Financial simplified its foundation anniversary event and donated a 15-passenger van with the savings. In March of this year, the company donated 100 pairs of sneakers and 25 pairs of dress shoes to support residents preparing for independent living. To address the outdated and insufficient laundry facilities for the approximately 600 long-term residents of Eunpyeong Village and to improve hygiene conditions, Shinhan Financial additionally provided one large washing machine and one large dryer.
The previous day, a delivery ceremony was held at the company's headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by Chairman Jin Okdong and Jang Kyunghwan, Director of Eunpyeong Village. Eunpyeong Village expressed its gratitude for the ongoing volunteer work and donations by presenting a plaque of appreciation to Chairman Jin.
Chairman Jin stated, "Small acts of sharing can bring about great change," and added, "We will continue to engage in practical and sustainable social contribution activities together with the local community."

Meanwhile, Chairman Jin has become the first CEO in the financial sector to be registered as a member of both The Neighbors Honors Club (Good Neighbors), a group for donors who have contributed over 100 million won, and the Honor Society (Community Chest of Korea), through his consistent personal donations.
