BNK Busan Bank Launches 1 Trillion KRW 'BNK Himchan Leap Fund' to Support Regional and Marine Companies

BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) announced that starting August 21, it will launch the 'BNK Himchan Leap Fund' with a total value of 1 trillion KRW to boost the local economy and enhance the competitiveness of the marine and fisheries industries.

This fund has been established to maximize the benefits of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' relocation to Busan, strengthen financial support for high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises leading the local industry, and expand Busan Bank's role as a regional bank.

The funds will be allocated and managed according to the target companies: 200 billion KRW for industry-leading companies, 600 billion KRW for companies with growth potential, and 200 billion KRW for companies operating in the marine and fisheries industries.

In the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, industry-leading companies can receive up to 10 billion KRW per company, companies with growth potential can receive up to 5 billion KRW per company, and marine logistics, fisheries, and shipbuilding companies can receive up to 10 billion KRW per company. Selected companies will be eligible for working capital and facility funds according to their needs, along with preferential interest rates.

Busan Bank stated that through this fund, it aims to go beyond simple financial support to invigorate the entire local industry and become a key partner in helping Busan emerge as a leading maritime finance city.
