YGPA to Boost Local Economy by Attracting Domestic and International MICE Events
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA, Acting President Hwang Hakbeom) announced on August 20 that it has been selected as a new member of the 'Jeonnam MICE Alliance,' an initiative led by the Jeonnam Tourism Foundation to promote MICE activities and enhance tourism competitiveness.
The Jeonnam MICE Alliance is a cooperative network in which various organizations and companies, including convention centers, hotels, and tourist attractions, participate. Its goal is to strengthen the overall competitiveness of the MICE industry-Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions-and to create joint synergy.
The Yeosu World Expo Exhibition Hall is recognized as a key K-MICE hub, thanks to its excellent infrastructure, which includes large conference halls and exhibition spaces at the Yeosu Expo Convention Center, as well as luxury hotels and tourist attractions within the Yeosu World Expo Special Zone.
Hwang Hakbeom, Acting President of YGPA, stated, "The Yeosu Expo Convention Center, as a leading MICE venue in the region, possesses unlimited potential. With this alliance membership, we aim to further enhance the competitiveness of the Jeonnam MICE industry and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
