This is Hyundai Motor Company's first time participating in Gamescom. It also marks the first case where a non-gaming company has directly developed a game and exhibited it independently in the classic game exhibition area, rather than collaborating with a game developer.
The game 'Insteroid Retro Arcade' features Hyundai's compact electric SUV 'Inster (Casper Electric)' and the design concept car Insteroid, which is based on it, as the main characters. The game was inspired by classic games where players earn points while avoiding villains in a maze.
The Insteroid is a concept car that combines video game-inspired design elements with the Inster, and further enhances its dynamic image by adding features such as a wing spoiler and wheel arch air flaps.
